Dr. Burrell's caring manner and attention to his patients'
needs always lowers the normal stress that every patient has
when visiting a doctor's office. Dr. Burrell earned a
B.A. in Philosophy from
University of Scranton in Scranton, PA, and his B.S. in
Visual Science and O.D. degrees from the Pennsylvania
College of Optometry in Philadelphia. He enjoys primary eye
care with special interest in ocular disease management.
Having been awarded clinical honors during his training at
the Pediatric/Binocular Vision service at The Eye Institute
in Philadelphia, Dr. Burrell brings additional expertise in
the area of children’s vision care.
Dr. Burrell has extensive experience in prescribing complex
contact lenses, including multifocal and hybrid lens
designs. In addition, he prescribes Orthokeratology
(Ortho-K) lenses for patients of all ages to correct myopia
without surgery.
Dr.
Burrell devotes significant time caring for our refractive
surgery patients (LASIK, PRK, etc.), a
service of our
practice since 1994. He lectures nationally on a variety of
ocular disease topics and serves as an Investigator for
numerous pharmaceutical companies in conducting clinical
trials to test new medications and devices. Dr. Burrell is
dedicated to research, education and excellence in clinical
care.
Dr. Burrell is a member of the medical staff at St.
Joseph Medical Center.

eye doctor, providing eye care
services to those in our community in need who have been
screened and referred for care by the Salvation Army. Dr.
Burrell is
also a member of the Masonic Union Lodge, Birdsboro and
Scottish Rite Cathedral Valley of Reading.
